a country that tolerates this kind of sadistic, vicious cruelty and sadism cannot call itself a civilized society. please show the world that you will not tolerate this kind of base cruelty.
bear, dog and other animal baiting have long since been outlawed in all but the most backward countries. please demonstrate that you are a 21st century society by investigating and prosecuting these extremely disturbed people. the world urges yo

i visited your beautiful country many years ago to do research, now i read your government is going to bury allianoi and the ancient roman spa. please do not do this, the world will help you to save it and the farmers can then get their needed water. tourists will bring in a great deal of income for turkey and a lot of gratification for saving the roman spa at allianoi. please spare it!!

sincerely, a patron and lover of turkish history.

dear mr. ambassador, i recently read that your government is thinking about burying an ancient roman site as part of a new dam construction. i implore your government to consider saving the site by moving what you could of it to higher ground. to bury it for all time would be a tragic cultural loss which cannot be replaced.

this site used to have a very helpful page regarding customs limits into turkey. the limits have changed! however, no obvious combination of english search terms leads one to an official site explaining the new rules. it sucks to be confronted by an official at the border when you are not trying to break any rules!

since i visit turkey quite often, im wondering if the new visa rules apply to american citizens. i just heard that while a foreigner is still able to get a 90-day visa upon arrival into turkey, once the visa is up, they have to leave turkey for another 90 days before getting another visa into turkey. is that true?

to the embassy:

im saddened that the european union continues to delay turkeys accession. i dont have any power over what the eu does, especially because im an american and im not in any position to influence what the eu does.

i just wish that turkey would be treated fairly by the eu, especially since its such a positive influence on its neighbors and allies.

en içten dileklerimle.
