Press Release Regarding The Visit Of Minister Of Foreign Affairs H.e. Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu To Brussels And Nakhchivan , 01.10.2009

Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu will pay a visit to Brussels on 1-2 October 2009.

Mr. Minister, who will arrive in Brussels late in the evening of October 1, will meet with the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and the European Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn on October 2.

Furthermore, at these meetings, the 2009 Progress Report that will be published on October 14, and Turkey- EU relations as well as regional and international issues will be discussed.

Mr. Davutoğlu will deliver a speech titled “Turkey and the EU: achieving synergy in foreign policy” at the breakfast meeting co-organized by the European Policy Center and TUSKON.

Following his meetings in Brussels, Mr. Davutoğlu will depart from Brussels for Nakhchivan in the evening of October 2 to accompany President of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Mr. Abdullah Gül at the Summit Meeting of the Heads of State of the Turkish-Speaking Countries to be held on 2-3 October 2009 in Azerbaijan.
