Press Release Regarding The Visit Of The Minister Of Foreign Affairs H.e. Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu To Finland , 11.03.2010
Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu will be participating in the unofficial Lapland Foreign Ministers meeting which will be held on 12-14 March 2010 hosted by H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Mr. Alexander Stubb.
In addition to H.E. Foreign Minister Davutoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia H.E. Mr. Urmas Paet, Minister of Foreign Affairs of France H.E. Mr. Bernard Kouchner, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy H.E. Mr. Franco Frattini, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden H.E. Mr. Carl Bildt, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain H.E. Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Lady Catherine Ashton are expected to participate in the said meeting.
EU’s international role vis à vis increasing influence of multipolarity at the global level; opportunities in EU’s neighbourhood; and the EU’s changing dynamics after the Lisbon Treaty will be the general theme of the discussions at the Lapland Foreign Ministers meeting.
H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Davutoğlu will also be holding bilateral meetings with his counterparts in Lapland.
